Creating a Simple Logo in Photoshop

Thinking about creating a logo for your company, but just don’t know where to start? Well, search no more! Here’s a simple tutorial on how to get a clean and simple logo design.

Step 1: Use a Shape

For this tutorial I am using a circle. You may want to use another shape depending on what look you are going for.

Create a new layer and draw a circle using the Elliptical Marquee Tool. Fill it with the in with your color of choice.

Step 2: Accentuate Company Letter

Using the text tool, create a text layer and type your company’s first letter. I chose an elegant font, but this would depend on what your company does.

Position the letter to your liking. I chose to let the letter fall off the circle. This way it feels more creative instead of trapped within the circle.

Step 3: Company Name

Using the text tool, create a text layer and type the rest of the company name. For this step, I chose a contrasting font, because using a full cursive title would have taken away from the company letter. This also allows for the logo to have more readability.

Hi everyone! I know it has been such a long time since I’ve been open for projects, but I’m back in action. I’ve been working behind the scenes for some time now, trying to get everything in order and ready for new projects. I hope you all enjoy the new design and I can’t wait to speak to new and returning clients!

Color Inspiration
This is a neat feature where I will post an image along with a color palette. The image/palette post serves as dual inspiration, because I usually use home decor, photography, and other fun things. I hope this will bring inspiration into everyone’s everyday life!
